ABE/FEA 2011 Competitive Paper Awards

The Financial Education Association is pleased to announce that awards will be available for papers presented at the 2011 Conference in Disney World.

Awards are available in two categories: pedagogy and educational research. Given sufficient numbers of competitive submissions.

The best paper(s) will be published in a Advances in Financial Education. Although all papers are available for the award, papers that have no relationship to financial education may not be published. Papers do not have to be about finance to be published, they simply must be relevant to financial educators. For example, a paper on "Improving Learning through Group Projects" would be relevant to any discipline, including finance.

The Best Paper prizes include:

    First Place: $500 and publication in Advances in Financial Education. There are up to two first place prizes (pedagogy and research)

    Honorable Mention Papers: Will be published in Advances in Financial Education

Winners will be recognized at the Friday conference membership luncheon.

A special committee will have the sole, and final, responsibility for choosing the best paper(s). I am pleased to announce that the best paper committee will be chaired by Prof. Doug Kahl at the University of Akron.

If you wish to have your paper considered for one of the awards, you must email a copy of your completed paper to Prof. Kahl no later than midnight, Tuesday, September 6, 2011.
